  Go West! Seriously. West.
Yes, it has really been months since the VaughnNet blog got some attention, and there's a good reason for that. First Anna and Mia news - they are doing great, both are up to 16+ lbs, and both are getting the basics of crawling down now. (No they aren't really crawling yet, but they ARE doing the "worm" and succeeding at forward locomotion.)

Next up in the news front is that Kristina got a promotion at work to be the VP over the western banking practice at IXI. That whole "western" thing has kicked off a chain reaction of other news. I'm not one to drag this sort of thing out, so I'll just get right to the point:

Denver.

Yes, you read it right, Denver. We're packing up the family and moving west. We've got the house on the market, the moving truck packed, and I'm posting this from a hotel in Topeka, Kansas as Kristina's dad Hank and I recover from a long drive from Indiana. I've resigned from Finetre/Ebix, and am on the hunt for gainful employment in Colorado, while Kristina has already started in her duties from the Gallmeyer ranch in Indiana. (The photo above was taken in the Gallmeyer back yard.)

Hank and I will arrive in Denver tomorrow evening if all goes well (Thursday, 8/30) and establish a beach head. Kristina, Mom G, her sister Lisa, and of course Anna and Mia will all fly in on Friday AM and start settling in at the new place. We'll send out contact information once we get settled in, but drop me a line if you're the impatient type and want to know now. Stay tuned to VaughnNet as well - I hope to have a little more free time on my hands to keep things up to date. In the interim, you'll have to keep suffering through sporadic posts to the photo galleries, but hang in there - more is on the way!
