Mary Karen Verse Vaughn Mary Karen Verse Vaughn left the loving arms of her family in the early morning hours on February 3, 2005, for her journey home. As Karen traveled through life, she truly never met a stranger – everyone she met soon became a friend, all of whom remember her fondly. She is loved and cherished by her family and her many friends. We all miss her greatly, but know she is going to a better place where she will find true peace. Join us for a memorial service to be held on Saturday, February 12 at 1:30, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in King followed by a celebration of Karen’s life. In lieu of flowers, please make a generous donation to the charity of your choice in her memory. If you don’t have a favorite charity, one of Karen’s was the Rescue Mission of Winston-Salem, where she was known as Mary, but she would love for you to make a contribution to any of the many human service organizations in our area.
